About  the Position

The Grant Coordinator position plays a critical role in helping clients achieve their desired outcomes and ultimately be successful in adopting the eCivis platform to manage grants. This position will work closely with the FL League of Cities (FLC) to help identify grant management needs of FLC members and serve as the liaison between FLC and eCivis.  The Grant Coordinator will have a meaningful impact on the customer’s overall experience.

Ultimately promoting client adoption and advocating use to mitigate the risk of churn. This role directly impacts annual recurring revenue, encouraging expansion, and positive retention rates, while serving as a credible, knowledgeable, and strategic thought leader on behalf of eCivis and its relationship with FLC members, and segments. Client needs include, but not limited to, grant writing referrals, policy and process creation, internal control identification and implementation, and the like.  This is a new position that requires independent thinking, ethical business standards, and practice flexibility as the position matures with a positive and cooperative attitude.  

This is a remote position based in FL with the potential to meet with FLC in Tallahassee.


  • Serve as the primary liaison between FLC and eCivis.
  • Support members with grant research and the criteria to qualify for each.
  • Deliver a positive impact on retention.
  • Prepare data analytics reports for members, FLC and eCivis.
  • Participate in meetings with members, FLC, and eCivis.
  • Proactively and continually evaluate member(s) health and adoption.
  • Maintain regularly scheduled meetings with clients to ensure complete adoption of systems and processes.
  • Track members to identify churn risk and take proactive corrective steps.
  • Participate in webinars, training, and ongoing support tutorials.
  • Develop collateral, resources, and press releases in cooperation with FLC and eCivis Marketing teams.
  • Coordinate the monitoring and evaluation of grant programs and projects with members.
  • Develops and maintains master files on grants and paperwork connected to programs funded by grants.

  • Identify opportunities for client growth and potential needs.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

 Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Thorough understanding of local, state, and federal funding sources.
  • Thorough understanding of grant policies and procedures and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Understanding of Uniform Guidance changing landscape and can serve as the client-facing a trusted advisor.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • An ability to build relationships and foster partnerships are essential.
  • Thorough understanding of effective grant writing techniques.
  • Proficient in standard modern office tools (Microsoft, Excel, PPT, etc.).
  • Extremely organized and meticulous with details.
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to prioritize work and resources.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to interpret and prepare grant reports.
  • Ability to be discreet and confidential with client information.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
  • At least three years of experience in full life cycle management.
  • Certified Grant Management Specialist credential is preferred, but not required.
