Director of Content Marketing (Remote)

About the Role

The Director of Content Marketing is responsible for all content marketing across eCivis and Questica. The Director of Content Marketing will be responsible for developing strong demand generation content and digital assets to drive sales opportunities for the eCivis and Questica sales organization. The Director of Content Marketing will hire and develop talent and the content marketing budget. This role will manage resources responsible for the content flow, writing, reviewing, and editing within and across departments, including but not limited to top-of-funnel assets (e.g., infographics, videos), blog posts, long-form assets (ebooks, whitepapers), solutions marketing, digital and print collateral and research content.


Responsibilities 

  • Hiring, developing, and managing talent
  • Develop content strategy and calendar and execute against it, integrating KPIs with broader marketing objectives and plans
  • Maintain blog calendar, working closely with bloggers on originating and refining content for publication on ecivis.com or external outlets as appropriate
  • Partner with key stakeholders to ensure content receives adequate promotion (e.g., newsletters, community, social)
  • Participate in cross-functional brainstorming sessions to devise new content plans for solutions marketing initiatives and corporate marketing projects
  • Develop and manage the content library and content calendars
  • Work closely with design resources to assure brand and style guides are adhered to
  • Deliver monthly reports and metrics on content performance
  • Manage web content, ensuring messaging and brand consistency
  • This key role will join our marketing organization reporting to the Vice President, Marketing.

 

Skills & Requirements 

  • Knowledge of public sector marketplace and government customer audiences
  • BA/MA degree in Journalism, Marketing, Advertising, Communications, English or a related discipline 
  • 5+ years managing or leading a content marketing team
  • 10+ years writing and editing experience - direct experience as a content strategist or equivalent role a plus
  • Exceptional communication skills – written and verbal 
  • Effective problem solving, time management, and organizational skills
  • Effective team player and collaborator
  • A quick learner that thrives in a high-demand environment 
  • Proficient in the following tools: HubSpot, Pardot, Salesforce, Hootsuite, Airtable, Slack, MS Office Products

Travel Component: Approx. 10-20% travel within the United States and Canada may be required
